so please if you could build one and mail it to me i would post them ASAP, 10X

Hi there,
this is the deKorator kwin deco,
deKorator is based on the HOWTO: KWin Window Manager Decorations posted in here: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=6332
and done by Brandybuck, 10x david

the man that responsible for all the art design is jon clarke AKA ArbitraryReason, and if you don't know him by now all you should do is just look at the highest rated scores of this site

the nice thing about deKorator it's that it loads is images from
some user defined directory(something quiet similar to what iceWM is doing ),
thats means that everything is themeable with no time and no programming knowledge is needed.
one thing to note is that if you would like to see the changes instantly when designing the tiles, you need to run "kwin --replace&".
few notes:
when installing the new version, log out and login back, or run "kwin --replace&" to load the new version.
if for some reason some options dont seem to work, remove your old kwindeKoratorrc file and let deKorator produce a new one.
i will update my site with some more documentation, samples, template-themes, and other usefull stuff for the theme makers,
so don't forget to check it out, it will be located in the "goodies" directory.
how to install new theme - there r 3 ways to install new theme I'll name them out,
1 - downlad theme tarball and extract it to $HOME/.kde/share/apps/deKorator/themes
2 - download theme tarball, go to deKorator "themes" tab push the "install new theme" push button, you'll be presented with a dialog box, enter your theme URL or just use the little push button to locate your theme on your file system.
3 - go to kde-look and search for some 0.2 deKorator theme, in the theme post right click on the download link and "copy link address", then just go to deKorator "themes" tab push the "install new theme" button and paste the link onto the address bar, deKorator will download and install it for you.
most importent after any installation type, if you'd like to use the theme you need to press on the "set theme path's" push button.
And PLEASE if you got any comment good or bad, suggestion, feature request, other tiling format idea, please feel free to shout it...
10x to eyal the project is hosted now at www.cheetux.org.il, you could also find there some theme's i've ported from 0.1 to 0.2.

this link does not work. http://devheaven.buildtolearn.net/deKhelp.xhtml
It's great how deKorator allows you to completely customize the KDE window decorations. Unfortunately, with KDE 4.10, it doesn't provide a way to enable the window shadow effects. Would you possibly consider enhancing it to support windows shadows? DeKorator provides such a great option for creating your own window decoration themes, but it's a shame that it hasn't been updated in a while.
Hi, If the current version is 0.4.0.2 why the directory in the source tarball is still 0.3 ? that makes packaging it correctly problematic because of ugly tricks to workaround that. Could you for next release change the version in the source directory accordingly to the version that is being released ? Thanks
Hi, could you add an option that could remove the border while a window is maximized?
+1 I really don't need left, right and bottom borders when maximised
i have the same problem as Psyfurius does... and making the theme dir into ~/.kde/share/apps/dekorator/ does not fix this.
I have the same problem for a long time, I alway install themes manully by put them in into the theme directory
Hi, I'm running Kubuntu 8.04. I installed deKorator from Adept and it's version 0.3. When I try to install a theme for dekorator with the URL, it gives me this error: The file is not a valid deKorator theme archive. That happens with These theme: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Plastic+for+deKorator+0.2?content=31587 When I Extract it to home/.kde/apps/share/dekorator nothing happens at the dekorator list of themes. The same happens if I Browse the file to install it. I also tryed a few other themes and I get no good results... Any Idea? Sorry for my BAD English
I fixed the above mentioned problem by doing: mkdir -p ~/.kde/share/apps/deKorator/themes After that, installing themes via the GUI worked correctly.
For everyone else like me that couldn't find a link, I found this http://www10.frugalware.org/pub/linux/frugalware/frugalware-stable/source/kde-extra/dekorator/

Hi, This package is available for Fedora users from the official repositories. Fedora users, enter: yum install dekorator to get it. Also, we have added several usability-related patches to the package. Please consider adding these patches to future versions of dekorator, so that everyone can benefit from them? Patches are available here: http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/rpms/dekorator/devel/?root=extras
I'd love to try this deKorator out. It looks cool. Plastic for dekorator looks wonderful. It's a shame the links are not working. Anyway. All the Best.
Why it's in "Native KDE 3.2+" ??
This really sucks. This thing doesn't work for me. It installs just fine and I can see it in KConfig and everything, but I can't install themes or see any themes in the list nor can i change my themes path. I would really like it if this thing worked... Any ideas or suggestions? If it helps any I'm running Debian Etch with KDE 3.5.5...
Pls fix the link, the other one given inside the thread doesn't work either.
does anyone have the themes that are supposed to come with this? if not what package do i need from the main source link posted above?
Hey has anyone heard from Moty lately !?
Yes, I agree, a working link would be nice, especially with a slew of distros releasing new versions now. Can someone repost the source please?
