Oh, one more suggestion for 0.2. Perhaps the edges of the tabs should be rounded at the corners. Also, maybe make rounded arrows for the scroll bar arrows. Those are the only two things I can think of to improve the theme as of now. ;)

MattM

Very nice theme. I would like to add it to Kubuntu. I have just successfully configured/compiled it, but how do I add it to the theme manager? Thanks.

felix1976

This is the way Keramik should have been looking. Some rough edges in 0.1 but already very good. :)

paulsmith99

This is the best style I've come across!

It compiled no problem on Slackware 10.2 and worked in kde3.5rc and continued to work after I upgraded to kde3.5.0.

It goes well with the Polyester window decoration.

Are you planning your own window decoration?

diamond70

Can I install it in kde 3.4.2?Thanks!!

Techman32

sorry is not kde 3.2 is kde 3.3.2 :P

Well im a noob and i just wanted 2 know...How do you install this? When open the configure file this is what it says: matt@linux:~/shinekeramik-0.1> ./configure checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking for -p flag to install... yes checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... no checking for style of include used by make... none checking for gcc... no checking for cc... no checking for cc... no checking for cl... no configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH See `config.log' for more details. matt@linux:~/shinekeramik-0.1> I dont like the no's. What should i do?

matthewmx86

What distro are you using maybe I could help if I knew what you are running.

ranmak

Do you have gcc installed?

Just one word. GREATES.......................

nice looking! really cool, man... esp the buttons! but i do have some sugestions: 1. roud the tabs a bit more, top and bottom, makes it look more smooth. 2. the buttons are great, keep em :D 3. the containers (what's their name, the spaces surrounded by a line) look better in in baghira, rouded and with a darker colour. i think you could do that, too... 4. did i say i love the buttons? keep the subtle colouring, then... 5. round everyting a bit more, like the text-input-fields, and surround them with a colourish glow, like mac os X and baghira do. or sink them and keep the color inside, like with the buttons??? 6. the tickboxes look cool, only the 'V' inside them is a bit dull. maybe, like in mac os X, let it come out of the box? and give the box a color if it is ticked? and yeah, i'd love to see you working on a windec, but please finish the style first :D thanx, this is already a great style, and i'm sure it can become even better!

mononoke

where can i download that? have you got a link to that wallpaper ?

matthewmx86

Wow this style looks great. Only thing that I seem to be having trouble with is that the menu bar color is lighter then the window background color. Is there anyway to change the color of the menubar so that it isnt a lighter shade? But other then that this is an awsome look, great job!

ranmak

Ok, I can remove the lighter shade in the next version. But don't expect it will be released soon. :(

pootie

it's perfect. now if only you could spiff up the keramik windeco to look as nice :)

ranmak

I am very happy to hear somebody likes it. It is not perfect, though. That's why I chose 0.1 for version number. I've already started working on version 0.2. More than half of the widgets will be re-designed. ;) No plan for windeco yet, sorry.
