Description:
This is a modification of Skeezo's KBFX Start button you can find here:

http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=29690

It was too low for my kicker configuration (normal, height 46 pixels), and I modified it to fit my kicker size and personal taste, while waiting that the original author (to whom goes all my appreciation for the good work) releases the source file from inkscape or he does himself more versions of his work.

By my side, I uploaded also my Gimp source file, so everyone can start from the point I got to (and possibly do a better job). You need Kabal Book TTF to correctly see the xcf; for the few not knowing, you can find it here:

http://www.kde.org/stuff/clipart/kabel.ttf

I hope you like it!

P.S.
Sorry for my English, if something doesn't sound right just let me know!

Last changelog:

version 0.2.3
In this version I just added a whole new button (xcf only), with New-Tux (from http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=8418 ) and the word "Linux". See 2nd screenshot. The other buttons are the same from 0.2.2. I'd like to create more versions too, if I find svg/high quality logos... any requests?

version 0.2.2
I created some other versions of the button: you can now choose between K-logo in Crystal and Lineart style, and both version are available in "3d mode" (i.e., to put it simply, with shadows under the logo and the writing) and in "flat mode" (i.e, without shadows). You can see al of them in 3rd screenshot. However, the xcf source is still present, and you can easily create your combination of elements by activating/unactivating the proper levels in the Gimp... I've tried to give them clear names.

version 0.2.1
Just added a little shadow under the K-Logo. I think it gives a 3d, multi-level feeling to the button (see 2nd screenshot). I also discovered KBFX can handle xcf directly, so i release only that... if you want/need a png, just ask, and I'll upload. I leave here also version 0.2, in case anybody prefers it over the new one.

version 0.2
Played with it more seriously (with some more intervention from me than just scaling/cutting), and got this: much smoother, I think. Hope you like it!

version 0.1
This is just a quick and rough modification of KBFX Start button. I quickly scaled/edited it with the Gimp. Being just a scaled version of the original, just a little more narrow (once scaled, the original was 150 pixel wide, I cut it down to 134), it's a very rough work... its even blurred!I thought some people could find in this a temporary solution, just like I did. I'd like to see also a different word than "start", for obvious reasons...

Anyway, here it is, in all its unprofessionality and roughness.

It is SuSE's default one... and it is very nice, indeed!

KBFX Startmenu

KBFX is an alternative startmenu for KDE 3.2+. It improves users' experience by replacing the Win95-like K-Logo button and menu with a larger and thus more visible start button and menu. Wikipedia
