With this version, it is possible to choose a variety of background border colors. You can also make you own and put it in the background folder where it will be picked up. The calendar now updates on an hourly basis

I don't know why pink border
I would actually use this and vote good if I could get rid of that hideous pink border :\
You can, just open the file "calback.png" and edit it to look like you want.

Well, it is not pink, it is purple. What color would you like? I will try to make that a configuration option.
