Description: I didn't see any Vista like KDM login theme... I wanted one so I tried.Last changelog:
There are now two themes. One for widescreen which is the same as the previous one and one for 4/3 screen. This new one has been successfully tested on a 1600 x 1200 screen. If you have other resolution, please try and report if it works.

I'm trying to upgrade my handyman's machine and give him a Vista feel, but everytime I click on the "download" link I get "Not Found". Is it no longer available?
It seems my provider had the page down for a little while. It is now working and should redirect you to the page where all my Linux ressources are available.
i, too, am not going to use this theme, but i vote "good" because it is well designed (looks good). You can't just say "it's crap, i vote bad" because you don't use it, thats ridiculous. I use gentoo, still i don't vote "bad" for every Debian-Design i see just because i don't use it.
There are some peoples that they want to make their KDE to look like windows. There are numerous reasons for that! (Newbie user, for fun, to confuse friends etc. etc.) These themes are in the spirit of open source.
The button are slightly modified from a Vista screenshot. Consequently, I don't know what would be the "copyright" on it. But if it is only depending on me, feel free to use them.
I will fix that when I will be able to work on my other PC which have a 1280 x 1024 screen resolution. I will make one theme for widescreen and one for "normal" screen. It should be done next week.

Hey EstebanTristan, thanks for the update. Only 2 small problems left:
1. The text inside the username textbox is spilling out vertically.
2. Also, the "Session" and Shutdown buttons are not placed at the bottom of the screen. Instead, they are somewhat middle aligned (vertically)
Still, the theme is very good,

If you can't appreciate someone's work, at least don't demean it.
Yes, I agree that we all hate Vista, but please don't rate a theme bad just because of this..

I get a 'Cannot open config file' or something when loading this theme in Appearance and Themes -> Splash Screen page of KDE Control Centre.
I also tried the manual method described in 'How to install' but the theme did not show up on the Splash Sceen page.
What could be wrong?
This is not a splash screen but a KDM theme. KDM configuration is located in KCotrol, System administration and KDM Theme manager. If you don't see this fiels you have to install KDM Theme manager.
To Gravity : it is because there were other Vista-like themes that I decided to make this one. Some things in Vista have nice look.
To RahulBatra : I will try to fix it as soon as possible. I think I should modify the way the fields are positionned not using position in pixels but in percentage of the screen, maybe...

looks bad at 1024 resolution (laptop doesn't support higher resolution :( )

Nice theme, I really like the session and menu buttons... I'm working on a KDM theme and would like to use these buttons in my theme, can I?
