Since version 2.7.0 Pidgin is using GtkStatusIcon. I guess this messed up the old scheme.
If you're using that version, just take a look at the standard <prefix>/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray and see if there's a 'hicolor' directory in there. Take a look at it, and see the new scheming.
I'll try to adapt the Naiads to it (the icon naming have changed too) an upload it if I succeed.
BTW, thanks zima for putting up such a nice job on this one. It's been my favorite for a while now.
Ok, it wasn't hard. The only caveat is it's not working inside ~/.local/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray. You have to install the hicolor directory inside /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray/.
The new package is here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=127610.
Excellent work there, thanks!
I noticed that the status icon takes panel background color and use that. So if the panel background is grey, these icons have grey background too. The real problem appears when the panels are set to be semi transparent but for above mentioned reason, the icon background won't render to be invisible.
Could you re-pack the icons to fix this? or probably point me what needs to be done.. I am new to photo editing and also couldn't find any tutorial.
Eh già, ho notato molti italiani attivi qua su gnome-look!

better to place this in ~/.local/share/pixmaps/pidgin/ instead of /usr/share ;)
Hey, i don't have that folder, that's why I didn't think of it... so does pidgin replace default icons with the ones put in here?
yes, replace. icons in this folder have highest priority than /usr/share/ :)
Tested and updated on the installation instructions :)
