I upgraded two days ago from 11.10 to 12.04 Everything seems fine with Faenza-ambiance so far. Beautiful of course and most apps are covered. Yet, the new change applied to the System Settings Dialog was not completely taken into consideration. Why? Three heading icons are missing. I had to copy them from mono-dark-icons (categories/24/) folder in faenza icons folder: ~$ sudo cp ~/Desktop/svg/*.svg /usr/share/icons/Faenza/categories/24/ where the svg folder contains these icons: applications-microblogging-panel.svg preferences-desktop-peripherals-directory.svg preferences-desktop-personal-directory.svg preferences-system-directory.svg http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/5237/sshotg.jpg

Original Faenza office(ooo) .svg file about 30kB. But why are the libreoffice svg file are about 2.3MB?
I opened svg's with inkscape, delete all and saved but its size was still 2.3MB. Then I opened empty file, copy every layer one by one, saved it. http://st05120284.etu.edu.tr/Screenshot.png It decrease to 25kB from 2.3MB. Total archieve decreased from 1.4MB to 95kB. Use this source http://st05120284.etu.edu.tr/faenzaLibreofficeIconsV3.tar.gz
Sorry, I think I prefer v2.1 of the icons. I use openSUSE with Tango icons and they just fit better. Any chance of putting the older pack up as a second download link so people can have a choice?
v2.1 is still available http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=138339
Thanks for putting the link in the text :)
Nice Thanks.
I try to install the icons but show me this message yyyyyyy@vxxxxxxx-desktop:~/Desktop/138257-libreoffice-faenza-icons_V2$ sudo ./lo-install [sudo] password for vassilis: cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/16/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/22/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/24/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/32/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/48/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/scalable/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/16/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/22/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/24/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/32/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/48/' is not a directory cp: target `/usr/share/icons/Faenza/apps/scalable/' is not a directory
don't try to install this one, now there's a newer version with improved install script. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/LibreOffice+Faenza+Icons+%5Binofficial%5D?content=138339
hi dear, I just tested installation of these icons. Works fine. Thank you for these nice icons. Will you also create some more nice icons for Faenza or even some other themes?? Thanks ones more for these nice icons. Will vote xour content up! Greetings Karmicbastler
It's just for the docks right? Well, that's Ok for now.Really good Work!!!! But I have an old problem here, and I would like to know if someone has any idea of how to fix... I use BrOffice, ant the BrOffice team now is part of the LibreOffice project also, so when I instaled the LibreOffice for Brazil, it cames with BrOffice splash and logos... Well, actually the logo is the same, but even when we used the version of OpenOffice it had a kind of problem of localization for the icons, because it doesn't find the icons of the theme I instaled (faenza) for docky, it open the icon of gnome for documents of text ... in a small png. But It seems that when we open a new document by the menu, it finds the correct icon. When I open a recent text from it, it stills the correct icon. But when I open a second document... ugly icon! I think I should change this icon path at some place in Broffice configuration, but I don't have idea of what to do... Any suggestion? P.S. Forgive me any error. As I said, I'm from Brazil, and my english is not very good....
nope, it's NOT just for docks. the download contains the svg icons (for docks) and png exports in 4 sizes (for menus).
yeah, other bad news for me... It looks that with BrOffice it doesn't put the icons on the menu... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.............
no I don't agree, that these icons would break the style of the Faenza-Icons. The Faenza-Iconset is really the most amazing one of the current time. I love these icons too. But: how to install them? Please give a short installation-instruction. I use the Faenza-Iconset and love it. This would make the set more complete. Greetings Karmicbastler
i've added an instruction for installing the icons. ps: there's a textfile "how_to_install" in the download.

They are amazing, but I think they break a bit the glossy style of Matthieu's Faenza icons. Nice work ;)
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't care for Faenza icon theme. I don't understand why there are 3-4 Faenza related uploads on every page. What's so great about Faenza?
really don't know^^ it's just extremely stylish... what icon theme do you prefer?
It's difficult to find icon sets that I really get excited over, but I am currently using LaGaDesk icons. I would have to say my favorite icon set is Buuf, but unfortunately it doesn't really fit with my current theme.
I like the style you have for these icons. Maybe you should make more for more applications?
thanks! in fact, i was thinking about making some more icons, since there are still many apps without faenza icons.
