This is just a little script I wrote to fix this problem:

You know how sometimes when you go to start a KDE program under GNOME that has a tray icon and you get a message like "coul not talk to klauncher" and then the tray icon floats in a window? Well, next time that happens, just close the program, run my script, and then open your program again. It should work now!
