Description: The GTK+ theme was created using GNOME Color Chooser.
Instalation: The most of GTK style is generated by GNOME Color Chooser The gtkrc-2.0-user file must be included to gtkrc-2.0 after gnome-color-chooser's item Recomended icon theme is ACYL In order to enable transparent window background you need GreenScreen plugin for compiz.
TODO: - Lighter borders for selected menu item - Remove "shadow", surrounding selected buttons (looks bad with transparent background) - Small icons at the main GNOME-menu - In order to complete previous three things, we seems to need other engine; Murrine is fallback, because lines is to much antialiased (cairo?)
Links: GNOME Color Chooser on SourceForge: http://gnomecc.sourceforge.net/ (on Ubuntu use PPA) Any Color You Like icon theme: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Any+Color+You+Like?content=102435
Somewhere in this site is libargb module for gtk2, but it crashes some apps.
In order to fix this issue I disabled libargb and defined 99% transparency for "any" windows.
fixed.
Also, look to www.opencompositing.ru.
It's russian resource, but there good sources for Ubuntu and Fedora 7...10.
Ubuntu source:
deb(-src) http://www.opencompositing.ru/uploads/ubuntu <version> main
Getting key:
wget http://www.opencompositing.ru/uploads/ubuntu/public.key
sudo apt-key add public.key
For Fedora there packages with settings
fc10: http://www.opencompositing.ru/uploads/other/fedora-opencompositing-ru-1-8.noarch.rpm
fc8: http://www.opencompositing.ru/uploads/other/fedora-opencompositing-ru-1-2.noarch.rpm
fc7: http://www.opencompositing.ru/uploads/other/fedora-compiz-ib-7-ib.noarch.rpm
There compiz with some new plugins, emerald with good themes pack, cairo-dock with OpenGL support, and (WARNING!) newest video drivers — I found nvidia.
ok I finally found a tutorial to install the GreenScreen Plugin (you forgot the "n" ;) )
