this is a quite nice work. But such apps already exist. For example the software-center or even Ubuntu-Tweak or even gconf-editor.
So this is not really necessary.
But nice idea.

Ubuntu-Tweak is like the worst software just after Wine...
Whatever, this is a control center, the goal of it is to put every applications in an unique window.
If you want to try something like that, Mandriva has a f*cking good one, I think.
I like the mockup in here, except the icons (black/grey and white becomes boring, it's always the same).

That is called gnome-control-center and is part of gnome since years.
