Description: This a collection of information for various Linux CLI utilities including regular expressions, program switches etc. It is not designed for learning these utilities but for those who already know how they work and want to memorise the various parts rather than having to constantly refer to documentation.
The details of Perl is from the Perl tutorial. Although out of date still a great introduction to the language.

In regards to section of Perl, all options are statements apart from ones which have (compare) in the definition. These are used in conditional statements and are enclosed in parentheses. With all statements the scalar variable v and the array variable a is used.
