Description:
Please insert bootsplash in
file:/usr/share/bootsplash/themes/Mandrake/images
Now you can move in folder /boot
initrd-2.4.18-6mdk.img
And type as root
mkinitrd --splash auto /boot/initrd-2.4.18-6mdk.img 2.4.18-6mdk
and
lilo
and restart your Computer.

Hey yo.. Seeing as how you have a screen to replace, maybe u can help me out cuz for some reason (after installing mdk 8.2) i don't get a bootsplash screen (I get the regular text boot). Any ideas??
Did you look into DrakConf (Mandrake Control Center) ?
