The file is presented as a ".tar.gz" file but in fact, it is a ".tar.bz2" file. Then, to uncompress it, you will have to do a tar -xvjpf 11886-buddhasplash.tar.gz
I think this is really cool. I'm not buddist, but I love the imagery. Also, this splashscreen has a unique 3D look. The icons seem way closer. It really pops out at you. I like.
