Installation instructions:

Way 1: You may download KSplashManager to easily install the splash screen here:

Compile it by doing:
$ tar zxvf ksplashmanager-0.9.1b.tar.gz
$ cd ksplashmanager.b
$ ./configure
$ make
$ su
Password: (enter root password)
# make install
# exit

Then you can execute it going to the K menu, selecting "Run command..." and entering the name.


Way 2: Uncompress the .tar.gz and copy the files inside it to the directory ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics . If the directory doesn't exist, just create it.
