The photo was taken in the county of "La Vera" in Extremadura (Spain). It's published in www.linex.org. LinEx is a spanish Linux distribution based on Debian made by Andago consulting for the Extremadura regional government, and is used at least on 80.000 of their computers. Installation instructions:

Way 1: You may download KSplashManager to easily manage and install any splash screen on kde-look.org:

Compile KSplashManager by doing:
$ tar zxvf ksplashmanager-0.9.1b.tar.gz
$ cd ksplashmanager.b
$ ./configure
$ make
$ su
Password: (enter root password)
# make install
# exit

Then you can execute it going to the K menu, selecting "Run command..." and entering "/usr/local/kde/bin/ksplashmanager" (you may copy and paste but without the quotes).


Way 2: Uncompress the splash-screen .tar.gz and copy the files contained inside it to the directory ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics . If the directory doesn't exist, just create it.
