I don't think that analogy works or applies here.
A closer analogy would be putting a Porche or Ferrari crest/emblem/logo onto a Ford. Which I wouldn't do.
well to put this to an end i just like the G5, i don't have one myself but after having the chance working with it for a few days, i can say this is a great piece of work!!! great machine, like a porsche, don't have one of those either :)...
just like i like great cars i like this great computer... that's basically all
If i had a G5 i would definitely run linux on it. linux is free, and open source. it's like living in a free world... you can do anything your mind comes up to.
i think apple is sort of like m$, except it doesnt have that big market share :-}
i dunno.

nice. Too bad I don't actually HAVE a G5, or I'd use this. Actually, if I had a G5, I'd most likely run OSX instead of KDE... hmmm...

I agree 100%. Plus, KDE is a much better user interface than Mac OS. I find Macs hard to use. If there was no Linux, I would use Windows.
