i love this theme and i would use it, but i have all my bookmarks on my toolbar without any text, just the image (eg. gnome-look is just the 'footprint') but these don't show up on the dust theme toolbar, the links are just empty transparent images!!! Am i doing something wrong?
much better , next: you need to add color gradient to the menu bar to have smooth transition between the title bar and the tool bar. you should make the bookmark bar higher to accomodate the size of the text you are using and you don't need the grey line at the bottom of the status bar.it's part of the metacity theme , the status bar should be all teh same color that's all for now. PS, don'T hate me because I nitpic, I just like the idea of this theme and would love to see it just right, I wish I had the skill and knowledge to do it myself
Can you please post a screenshot here at Gnome-Look and I'll see what I can do.
the first one is a pic of ff over a nautilus window. note that the menubar and toolbar on the ff windows are much darker then the ones in the nautilus one. and that the nautilus menubar as a colour gradient from lighter at the top meeting the titlebar to darker at the bottom meeting the toolbar http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=menubarlf3.png the second one is to show how the bookmark bar gets scared off because the size of the text is too high for the size of the pix used for the rounded off text area. http://img4.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bookmarkbareg0.png the last one shows the status bar where a grey line is show, next to the nautilus windows where a grey line exist but is part of the windows border theme(metacity) http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image=statusbarbd9.png I hope this helps
I see what you mean. The menubar has a gradient in my latest release and the statusbar issue is fixed. I'll have to work on the bookmark text issue. I don't have that problem using Gnome in Fedora. What OS or distro are you using? I'll also have to figure out the darkness issue on the toolbar colors. I used Kcolorchooser to match the Dust theme colors but I guess they're slightly off. Stay tuned for my next release, but please try the latest release. Thanks for the input, HaMMeR=GoM=
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 , with the dust theme straight from the repositories. you might might find it easier getting the colour information you need from the original theme's gtkrc file. Just a suggestion. like I said my knowledge of this is quite limited
I found out that you need to have the Lucida Grande font installed to fix the bookmark text issue.
comparing to your screenshot : the menu and too bars are not brown but grey(ish). other then that , great theme, I like the rounded feilds and the buttons keep at it
Fixed in latest release.
