AmaroK splash v1.4
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Description:
Just a little while ago, it was mentioned in #kde-artists (irc.freenode.net) that amarok could do with a new splash for version 1.4.
This is what I ended with, incorporating Chris Tooley's wolf, with the wolf coming out of the border idea thanks to Nenad Grujicic.
Finally, the thread on KDE-Artists.org can be found here:-

Best wishes,
Pascal Last changelog:

2005-08-13 -- Added the native The GIMP file; amaroK-splash.xcf. Using this you can just make invisible whatever layer you wish and then export it to another version in PNG or whatever else. Everything of course in GPL.
2005-08-11 -- I forgot the devs wanted a change of slogan. Change has been made, check the previews or the downloads

I like it! Nice job!
So much better than what's out there now, even than the 1.3 beta splash. I would get it in the 1.3 release. Great job!
I find it really nice. Is it possible to use it in order to replace the current one ? if yes, where should I put it ?
Thanks. I found my splash screen under:- /opt/kde3/share/apps/amarok/images/logo_splash.png Also, would you like me to make a copy of that splash without the version number displayed? Have a great day, Pascal Klein
It'd be great thanx
Okay what I did was upload the The GIMP file - the XCF file. Grab The GIMP, open that, pull up the layers window (CTRL + L) and just click the "eye" button to make a layer go invisible. Find the "1.4" layer, and change it. Now save it as another copy, best into PNG. I did this to allow everyone to tamper with this to their hearts content, under the minimal restrictions of the GPL. Have a good one and best wishes, Pascal Klein
we haven't release 1.3 yet!
I think he means version 1.4 of HIS splash. Nice work though.
Or he thinks that amaroK follows the GNU versioning system and that 1.3 is the unstable version of 1.4... Which isn't the case ;)
The request asked for a 1.4; unless I was dreaming at the time, or something along those lines... Actually, considering I was chatting, doing 5 pages of English homework and watching a movie; the chances are that I missed something or misread a line or three. I'll check it with the Amarok devs as soon as I can. Have a good one, Pacal Klein
Nice and simple, a lot more of my style than the current one. Keep up the good work.
