hope the final version for kde 3.4. added a locolor version and changed the klogo to the official new one. (version 1.3 not inclueds the old klogo, version 1.2 will online again soon)

another icon change thx to David Vignoni for the good ideas. also changed the theme.rc so it should run without problems.

changed some icons: no tux, no flags and the new klogo
BUT there is also a alternativ version with the "old" klogo (screenshot 2)

I had to change the line
[KSplash Theme: Default]
to
[KSplash Theme: KDE 3.4]
in my .kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/KDE 3.4/Themes.rc, though, to actually make it work. In its original version, I could preview it, but after selecting it as my splash screen, I always got the default at logon. If this is not just a problem with my config, you might consider changing this -- until your splash screen really is adpoted as the new default (which it should, IMHO!).

But there are a few problems with the icons:
- Remove Tux. KDE is not only for Linux. :-)
- Remove the Flags Icon. KDE is not only for the US or germany.
- The last icon is the old KDE Logo. Please use the new one.

I've just checked this into CVS for KDE 3.4.

KDE runs in a whole bunch of platforms, so showing Tux may be not the best option. Also, why showing USA and Germany flags? Should be something else.
