uhm.. ooosplash="/usr/lib/ooo-2.0/program/intro.bmp" [yeah, path is modified for SuSE...] and cp ooo-splash.bmp $ooosplash 2> /dev/null is that correct? [btw. for SuSE 10.2 users:You'll have to overwrite openintro_suse.bmp ]

I've different paths in SuSE 10.2, here the ones I know: amarok="/opt/kde3/share/apps/amarok/images/splash_screen.png" quanta="/opt/kde3/share/apps/quanta/toolbar/quantalogo.png" gimpsplash="/opt/gnome/share/gimp/2.0/images/gimp-splash.png" ooosplash="/usr/lib/ooo-2.0/program/intro.bmp" Well now some guess - which I don't know for sure but I could bet they're right: kmymoney="/opt/kde3/share/apps/kmymoney2/pics/startlogo.png" gaim="/opt/gnome/share/pixmaps/gaim/logo.png" well the main thing is SuSE splittet those apps in /opt/ sorted in kde3 and gnome, but I guess after reading the paths, you already figured it out.. YOU HAVE TO MODIFY THE PATHS IN install.sh [only SuSE 10.2 users - maybe other SuSE versions too?]

it would be nice if you could create a program that automatically applies this splash screen to every program that starts kind of like how older versions of gnome would do

I was redirected to a page that wasn't in English and I have no idea what to do from there.

I think that your background isn't GPL'ed.

jesusda

Maybe! it was downloaded by google image search! I will chage it in the future. ;)

aergern

Yes, downloaded via google or not. It's OS X 10.4's default background. :/

jesusda

Now all is fine! A new Background has been added, and the first non-gpl background has been removed! Thanks!
