Description: At revision 538403, the HiColor icon theme was removed from the KDE SVN repository for KDEArtWork.
Therefore, I am posting them here for those that wish to use them.
I have included the new KDE trademark for the KMenu.
To install, unpack the tarball in the directory for the icon theme you wish to add them to. This would probably be either "$KDEDIR/share/icons/hicolor" or "$KDEDIR/share/icons/kdeclassic". You might want to install them both places.
Note that you can install SVG icons in KDEClassic, but they won't work unless you edit the: "index.theme" file.Last changelog:
I wonder about the negative votes.
Do people mean that they don't like HiColor or that these are not good HiColor icons. HiColor icons are needed as a fallback icon theme to be used when themes don't have the required icon.
So, people that use CrystalSVG probably don't need HiColor icons, but people that use other themes do need them.
Or, if you use KDEClassic, you can simply use these as KDEClassic for some of the missing icons.
I suspect the votes mean they don't like the look of the icons.
I was tempted to vote it down for that, but it's already pretty low and would simply have been cruel for no purpose.
According to the FreeDesktop.org icon theme spec, HiColor icons are supposed to have certain attributes. They are not supposed to be artsy, but rather generic.
The question you should answer is whether these are good HiColorr icons, not whether you like Crystal* better.
