(file:/opt/kde3/share/apps/kmix/pics )
(If you like, be "careful" to save the original kmix-systray icons before override them, but, don't worry, there is no danger if they gonna be replaced :-D)
Maybe little adjustments are edited soon (position of muted-icon could be higher and/or turning the icon 45 or 90 degrees).
Icons are taken from crystal-svg,
so the Credits go to its author..
how i did:
removed "green waves" and downscaled icons to 22x22 pixels using Gimp.
thanks and enjoy

I like this alot. It much better than the default one. Also, Im not sure if its the same on other distros (I use SuSE), but I think if you put the files in "/home/*user*/.kde/share/apps/kmix/pics" it is better. That way you only change your own, and other users can have their own if they want. P.S. You might have to create the "kmix" and "pics" folders. Thats what I did. :D
thanks :) yes, maybe putting the files into the user directory is better, i will add a comment into the installation instruction.
what style is that in your window screenshot??
i am using the window-decoration from "kde_xp" (Theme/Style) that you can find on kde-look. actually it is an IceWM-Theme (using pixmaps) the current engine of Icq-WM cannot display "round window corners" correctly, but i heard, there is already a patch (maybe in CVS) that can display round corners:) the Style i am using is called "Alloy", also from this site.
Thank you! :-)
