This K-menu kickoff button is made as replacement for the chameleon that's in your kicker if you use the new SuSE-kickoff (like KBFX) instead of the classic KDE-kickoff.
It works without KBFX !
This button is made for a kicker-size of 58 pixels or for the setting "big". The button will be scaled, if your kicker is smaller, but then it won't look very nice.
Maybe I've written some mistakes in the ReadMe ... forgive me, I'm german ;-)
They all look great!!
As soon as i find my laptop, i will try them out :)
One question: in the readme you suggest to replace the original icons with yours.
But isn't it possible to put the files in the lokal kde directory relative to the system directory?
e.g.
~/.kde/share/apps/kicker/pics/kmenu_basic.mng
~/.kde/share/apps/kicker/pics/kmenu_vertical.mng
~/.kde/share/apps/kicker/pics/kmenu_flipped.mng
Hello,
yes, k3ks's right - it's possible, but note that other users on your system won't see the kickoff icon if they don't have the mng-files in "~/..." , too!

Yes it's possible. I also have done this way because I haven't got a /opt/kde3 folder :)
