Gartoon Redux
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
The GPL license means that when you redistribute Gartoon Redux or a modified version of it, you must make the SVG versions of all the icons available. Icons without elements from the original Gartoon are also dual-licensed under CC-BY-SA.
NOTE: Starting with 1.9, the distributor logo is automatically replaced based on your distribution, so this version is identical to the unbranded one: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/show.php?content=74841 for an unbranded version.
12.05.2009 - version 1.9
There is no longer a need to ship separate versions of the theme for different distros, because the logo is automatically replaced based on LSB information (and dpkg status for Ubuntu variants). See http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/show.php?content=74841 for further updates.

Damn! you are good...!
I get an error when trying to download...
I signed up for an account here just to say thank you. I loved the old gartoon, and you did a great job here. I couldn't find it on gnome-look or art.gnome (though I may have missed it), so you should up it there too. One slight criticism --- the Ubuntu icon (top right main menu by applications) seems a bit pixelized on mine compared to the other awesome icons.
That's weird, I see no pixelation on my system. Can you show a screenshot of this?
I've recently made the switch to Ubuntu and thank you for this icon package. I had a similar theme in Windows using Icon Packer from Stardock and I'm glad I found this great alternative package for my new Ubuntu.
This icon set is just as good as ever! I found a few icons which don't work though, and they're all related to removable media (in scalable/devices). I've added in a few sym-links to fix, and these are: ln -s gnome-dev-harddisk-1394.svg drive-harddisk-ieee1394.svg ln -s gnome-dev-harddisk-usb.svg drive-harddisk-usb.svg ln -s gnome-dev-removable-1394.svg drive-removable-media-ieee1394.svg ln -s gnome-dev-removable-usb.svg drive-removable-media-usb.svg ln -s gnome-dev-cdrom-audio.svg media-optical-audio.svg ln -s gnome-dev-disc-cdr.svg media-optical-cd-r.svg ln -s gnome-dev-disc-cdrw.svg media-optical-cd-rw.svg ln -s gnome-dev-disc-dvdr.svg media-optical-dvd-r.svg ln -s gnome-dev-disc-dvdrw media-optical-dvd-rw.svg ln -s gnome-dev-dvd.svg media-optical-dvd.svg
Thanks, I didn't know that those are recognized. Those fixes will be incorporated into the next version, as I've already pushed out the 1.6 release.
