Description: After Apple made blue its default colour in OS X and Microsoft just copied it, I feel that KDE should use green as its default colour to help set it apart from the pack. No more blue!
The second preview shows this scheme with GTK applications. RISCOS was the inspiration for this shot.
I tend to agree with you, however Blue is a very nice color wich makes an easy for eyes and calm desktop. Suse for example uses mostly green for their KDE desktop so that could be a problem for the KDE team, people would think the new KDE desktop would be to much Suse.
Maybe the colors that are used in your wallpaper are more suited for it, red, orange, yellow and green is a well balanced kde theme.
...A kindred spirit! I've been beating around the bush at this since I got involved here; Only recently did I fall into the "blue=pretty=good" ratings trap. I've done green icons, and orange icons, and a whole lotta grey icons, but their ratings/dl's pale (no pun intended) beside their blue counterparts. I think it's a lost cause, man. But we can still put something nice (and green!) together, no?
That's because too many people in *nix land want their desktops to look like someone else's. I hope more will see the light and come over to the green side :-D
