thanks for you critic! windows border - baghira style - linspire cleare
Whats the wallpaper and iconset you used?
iconset - linspire clear wallpaper - i think from kde-look
hmm couldnt find the icons, any chance you could provide a link?
What themes etc do you use?
Your screenshot... - does not use anti-aliased fonts - has a window decoration that is highly inconsistent in appearance between active and inactive windows - has a window decoration whose buttons are visually indistinguishable - has too much blue - has an unattractive white border under the panel
..."in my humble opinion" I think you forgot to add to your comments. I think it looks great! But then again, I like blue. Many of the comments you've made are items that cannot be controlled in Linux at the moment. For example, there is a great deal of inconsistency between "Save As" dialog boxes in different applications. This is worsened when you're talking Qt vs. GTK apps. What can you do? Also, the white border under the panel is an effect of using kbfx (at least I think.) It shows up on my box too. Finally, I just want to add that everyone has an opinion of what is beautiful. It is truly in the eye of the beholder.
Ah, yes. "In my humble opinion," then, it occurs to me that both the applications and window borders featured in the screenshot are probably KDE or Qt native. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. I am aware that my gripes with the window decoration, in particular, may be valid design decisions on the part of the programmer artist who designed it. I respectfully disagree with those decisions. The colour scheme, wallpaper, fonts, and pairing of widgets/decorations are well within the control of the person who posted the screenshot, however, so in accordance with his request for comments, I wished to express some unflattering opinions that found themselves to the top of my head. I am sorry if those opinions came across as rude or presumptuous.
