Description: This is my relaxing, organic KDE 2x desktop running TeaX for a stylish menu, XMMS with a relaxing wood look to it. All of my friends who use an OS (begins with a W) made by another company make inquiry about my OS when they visit my room. I then confuse them with all of the language that has become so familiar to us. You don't need to sacrifice style to use a powerful BSD OS like FreeBSD (although if you want to, by all means do).
Well, I don't know want to offend anyone, but personally I don't like wood backgrounds/themes etc on computers. In fact I hate them :-)
I find it really interesting that tastes can differ so much! However, I do like hebus.com a lot, thanks for sharing, there aren't a lot of good free (art)sites anymore, or they are hard to find.
I don't know about anyone else, but the website that joelsonoda mentioned above does work, but I can't get it to give me any actual walpapers. I can browse the site, get to some VERY cool forest scenes, *BUT* when I click on the thumbnail to get teh JPG a window pops up, but the JPG never loads. I've just tried with Konq, Mozilla, and yes even IE. Same thing.
Ata any rate, wonderful screen shot joel. I, just as ami says, love this sort of thing. I very much thank youy for posting the URL for the cool wallpapers (oh, and the screenshot too... :-) ).
Well, MSIE might not work becuase sometimes it just refuses to load high-resolution images (althought I've downloaded them from Hebus before). I would get the images to load but be unable to download them with Konq since they use some funky cgi program to loag the images. I've found the greatest success with the latest build of Mozilla (9.9).
I get the nice desktop wallpapers from the french version of hebus.com (the English version is currently offline and the French version has more pictures I like). Don't worry if you don't know French because you should be able to figure out what the English equivalent is without much difficulty. I don't know French and I get most of my wallpapers from there.
If I'm the only one who ever comments on this, I'll still be happy. My tastes in GUI constantly shift, so by the time you've seen this I've probably changed my desktop already, but hey. If any of you have trouble installing this stuff for FreeBSD then know you're not alone!
Anyhow, I probably have a desktop using a DigitalBlasphemy wallpaper by now, a shift from natural to the fantastical/technical.

... I forgot to mention this: you do realize KDE isn't an OS right ;-)

Can you tell me where I can get that nice background your using? I love such backgrounds, they really do have a relaxing effect :) Cheers

Sorry, I hope you aren't too disappointed. :-P Nice, just nice. Don't change a thing.
