This is a common problem for dark themes.
I don't use konqueror as my web browser, but mozilla firefox, so the color-scheme isn't applied to the browser. In text editors like kate you can configure the background color to be different than the color scheme's one.

Somethings need improvement I think.
When I go to my gMail account, all my mails contents have white background with pale grey text (difficult to read).
In my hotmail account, when I log in I have black text in dark grey background edit box (difficult to read).
I hope you can fix this because your theme is one of my favorites, but it is unusable in its present state...
