I see there are lots of posts about loosing all your screensavers.. and i also see there are no answers...
has anyone come up with a solution?? im floundering around here trying to fix it and cant find any way to do so...
This is the best screensaver I have ever seen(well, I don't think I've ever downloaded a screensaver before, but it's better than any defaults ones I've ever seen).
One suggestion. I can't choose which of the presets I like best(in setup). Why not an option for "Random" so that each time we get something different?
This is the first screensaver on this freaking website that I've gotten to install. All the others output errors when I compile. This is one of the few times I've been thankful for an RPM rather than source!
Not to mention a great looking screensaver. I wonder, would it be possible to incorporate a Show FPS option in a future release? Showing it in an unobtrusive place like the bottom-right corner in a small font, updated say every 250 miliseconds? Maybe this is the 3d gamer in me talking. :-p
i apologies, but i gave u a wrong/incomplete info about this fix.
U can comment/remove the line
<dri>=/dev/nvidia* /dev/3dfx*
as long as you comment/delete the
'<xconsole> 0600 <dri> 0600 root'
line
If you dont delete/comment both, your system will hang on startup.
To repair if your system hang, login as Restore Filesystem, mount your / in rw ('mount -n -o remount,rw /') and re edit your /etc/security/console.perm.
I also had a problem with the conf window flashing, no preview, and screensaver was a blank (black :) one.
I've just made a 'chmod 666 /dev/nvidia*' to give normal users rw access to the display controller.
All is ok now...

This Screensaver looks great, however, for some reason, all my screensavers have disappeared from the list in the KDE Control Center. This happened before I installed this screensaver and installing this one hasn't brought them back. However, the strange thing is that all the screensaver files are still existing and in the right place:
/usr/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers
I'm using Mandrake 9.0 . If someone could help, I would really appreciate it because I have been looking everywhere for a solution but found nothing :-(

okay, since i'm on SuSE, i tried to use the tarball (see above, for the link) but i keep getting the same error when i try to make:
In file included from keuphoriasetup.cpp:28:
keuphoria.h:34: GL/gl.h: No such file or directory
keuphoria.h:35: GL/glx.h: No such file or directory
keuphoria.h:36: GL/glu.h: No such file or directory
now, i KNOW i have openGL working, but SuSE uses mesaglut, not mesaglu. so maybe it's looking for something else? and i'm using the nvidia and GLX drivers from nvidia's SuSE distro.
i know this isn't exactly the proper place to ask this (you just ported it, after all) but i would like to get this working.

I am a newbie.
I just unstalled the Mandrake 9.0 few days ago.
I installed succesfully the Keuphoria rpm by a "rpm -ivh 3379-keuphoria-0.1.1-1tex.i586.rpm"
It was working in the beginning. :-)
but stop working afterward.
I was playing with it i.e. trying different configurations when it stop working.
Symptom: when I click on the configuration button, the configuration window appears and then disappears immediatly.
Any clue ?

1) in the list of screensavers, when I click on Keuphoria, there's no preview any longer
2) if I click on configure, the configuration window flashes for half a second and disappears.
=> Please! Please! Where does the screensaver write its configuration so that I can revert it to the normal?

and deleting all values did the trick. For all those who don't want to have this experience, just don't play around with buttons other than "Normal", "Grid" and "Cubism". All other broke the screensaver.
Hi, i found Kflux, Keuphoria and Ksolarwinds in the Controlcenter's Screensaver-setup from previous kde-installation, but after updating to kde3.1beta2 i can't find the entries in the screensaver-list anymore, though, keuphoria is still running as default screensaver, but it seems it doesn't use the 3d-acceleration anymore..
can anybody help me ?

I just thought I'd tell you that Texstar has made an RPM from this which so far seems to work better (I have not tried to log out and in to see if it stays in kcontrol).

this screen saver run ok for 3 o 4 minutes, after the pc crash!, (my english is very bad no?,hi every one!)

first I download it and installed, every thing is fine. it's very cool. but it suddenly works not good, it becomes so slowly. What problem I may get?
