Ehy, i've noticed that your bottom panel destroy your elegant desktop, if you want it to disappear go to gconf editor and set apps/panel/toplevels/bottom_panel/ autohide size to 0. You can also set the delay.

I am using avant-window-navigator with the qv 3d glass theme. hope that help
