Then I modified some things in the Themes.....download the archive and put the files in the right places. My selfdesigned startbutton in ...AER-OS-XK/32x32/places/ scale the panel to 30px und use as background the vista_panel_bg_translucent.png. Put the panel_buttons in ...LiNsta3/gtk-2.0/Panel and the gtkrc in ...LiNsta3/gtk-2.0
Just download the archive....the button and the transparent panelbackground is in it. I don´t have the button without the Fedora Logo anymore, just take it an play with Gimp. I have done so with the original vistabutton ;-)
Ok, there are several things playing together in my Desktop Design. I can make a Description which Themes have been installed and which changes I have made.
Give me some days.....
This might seem like a stupid question, but how do you install linsta? I am using beryl, and I can't find any settings so I can add the themes to make my PC look more vistary...
Thanks.
Ok, I installed it, but it looks nothing like your screenshot. I get lots of very buggy buttons, icons and menus. I also can't see a lot.
What can I do?
you can fake the complete round (circle) look of the start menu button by editing your wallpaper to complete the circle. this way, it shows when you have the wallaper visible, and does not interfere in a maximized window.
question.... how you got the green vista-like background, in file, edit, setting bar?
i am new to linux... i get a white background with GTK (linsta 3), and beryl.
Ok, go to the Folder where you have LiNsta installed and then go to the gtk-2.0 directory. Just edit the "gtkrc", jump to the last lines, there are entries for the menubars.
That´s mine:
class "GtkMenuBar*" style "menubar-green-blue"
widget_class "*MenuBar.*" style "menubar-green-blue"
widget_class "*Nautilus*.GtkMenuBar*" style "menubar-green-blue"

I'm no real fan of Vista, and I didn't and don't go WOW at Vista, nor copies - but this is, all else aside, a damn nice job at imitating it! Good job.

Hi, Linsta is the GTK Theme for Gnome, it works with or without Beryl. From Linsta I use the Controls. Simply click on System -> Preferences -> Theme.
