I was trying to create vintage/steampunk desktop many times, but it´s not very easy on linux. There aren´t actually such themes. I was thinking about creating my own theme, but I have no time... maybe later.

This is just a little try:
The theme is "Willibex" but the window border is "Dust" (U 10.04 basic installation), I think it suits better. Also the vintage cairo clock skin is amazing.
The wallpaper suits great to the color of the menu, windows and even the clock. And I also like magic
The dock is Gnome-do docky and icons are "Buuf icon theme"

So you can let me know what you think about it..
