Hello sir! I was wondering if you could remove the debian/ directory from inside the tarball. Both Debian and Ubuntu consider this practice bad and I want to get your applications to both repositories. Thanks in advance
please fix it, thanks :)
a lyrics window like in old kirocker would be great. Btw. I recognized that the album cover display does not work (Kubuntu, Amarok 2.3.0, KDE 4.4.2, Waheela 0.3)
I'm confiming it. Great work, by the way. I've been missing a Kirocker-like app on KDE 4!
I've installed on Gentoo with the Sunrise overlay... it doesn't show me the cover art for some reason. Aside from that, I have been wanting something like AmarokFS for Amarok2, so this is awesome! A suggestion that you can take or leave would be to somehow allow the ratings control somewhere maybe near the progress bar. I like to rate my songs as they play, so I can't use this when I am listening to songs I haven't rated yet... I'd end up going back and forth between Waheela and Amarok. If there was a way to see and set the ratings from the full screen, that would be useful. =O) Keep up the great work!
Please fix it
which one?
Sorry for the late, link to source file is down: http://linux.wuertz.org/dists/sid/main/source/waheela_0.3.tar.gz Thanks!
If you want your app to rock, please take a look at my mockup: http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/7250/39519717.jpg Would it be possible to do? :)
Your mockup locks very amazing. I will try to add all you ideas! Can you send me the wallpaper and the other elements? Greetings Xadras
Don't know the amount of time to achieve this but it would be very customizable if Waheela could include plasmoids like Amarok central view. This way we could have this kind of equalizer component, lyrics or karaoke view, whatever. I really think your project should be part of Amarok itself in the end.
I'm trying to download the Kubuntu karmic 64bit package, but i have to login to ftp server. What's the username and password for that? :)
Sorry. There was the wrong link. Now its fixed.
Hi, I am the maintainer of the FreeBSD port of Waheela. This isn't a real big deal, but there are several files in version 0.3 that do not have a newline at the end. This causes GCC to throw a bunch of warnings. I have been running: echo >> filename within the port to add the newline thus removing the warnings. The files are: src/widgets/background.h src/widgets/dateTime.cpp src/widgets/dateTime.h src/widgets/metadata.cpp src/widgets/metadata.h src/widgets/playProgress.cpp src/widgets/playProgress.h
I will fox that in the next verison.
hi waheela is great but can you make a plasma-plugin for the taskbar like kirocker, it would be great cu
Have you already seen PlayWolf? http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/PlayWolf?content=93882
Great to see this app! I really loved amarokFS and Kirocker for their showing "essentials" in fullscreen. I usually used them in a htpc replacing my CD collection. As I replaced my old box with one having a small built-in display (800x600 resolution, Touchsreen) and Amarok 1.4 lost some functionality (last FM suggestions), I had to make a move towards some newer versions/apps. Within this small display, the "now-playing" infos from the great Amarok itself are far too much and reduce the WAF. Tried Waheela (the precompiled .deb) with standard Kubuntu 9.10 (i386) and: - Most of the time no cover at all is shown (if Amarok has one). My assumption: It's a bug in Amarok itself, internally it also seems to have problems in showing the correct cover. - Basic skinning seems to work like in kirocker, BUT: I don't have no clue how to enlarge esp. the (not yet shown) covers. So the moment these things will work "again" will make me smile. To add one more wish: I often use Amarok's automatic playlist feature (LastFM). So a real plus would be an option to edit the playlist without switching back to amarok. Suggestion: show next 3 songs in main window=> click on them: show longer list (#, text size configurable) as pop-up or enlarged window (e.g. like the "Lyrics"-feature in Kirocker), allow deleting items (Del-key or kontext menu for touchscreens) (or even drag&drop for rearranging). So please excuse me for not having a look at the code myself: I have no programming skills... Maybe I could help with the documentation (or make some more suggestions to expand the functionality towards a tochscreen/kiosk-interface for amarok). Keep going, great app!
Hi, does it work in the KDE4 task bar like Kirocker used to for KDE3?
This is only a fullscreen player. But there is an amarok plasmoid: playwolf http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/PlayWolf?content=93882
First i have to say great work! And here are some wishes: :) 1.Cover reflection 2.More configurable themes(not only background), fots colors, icons, etc. 3.Maybe Plasma wallpaper plugins as backgrounds? The video plugin f.e. That would be a cool feature. 4.Amarok integration: a button that will allow to turn waheela on right from amarok, or it's context menu.(tray icon). that's all for now, more (maybe) to come. I'll do some themes, so i'll send them to you :)
1. I will add this in one of the next versions. 2. More or less released in the new version (0.3). 3. More or less released in the new version (0.3). 4. I will add this in one of the next versions.
Hi, I wrote a quick and dirty ebuild for gentoo. So far it seems to be working well, but I guess I'll have to give it a bit more love to get it into the sunrise overlay. Nice app by the way, I loved the amarokfs for amarok1 and was missing something similar for amarok2. Thanks! (ebuild can be found here for now: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283762)
nice!
Hi, the download links for the Jaunty amd64 package and the additional them packages are broken, leading to an opensuse-server apparently.
