Description: This version is unsupported. Xt7 also switched from mplayer to mpv. http://qt-apps.org/content/show.php?content=151684 https://github.com/kokoko3k/xt7-player-mpv/releases
With no KDE depedency, why is Xt7 here? I've installed it in Lubuntu, but non-KDE users would easily ignore it just because it's here and not in Qt-apps.
I couldn't resurrect Mageia yet, but have installed from ppa the old version in Lubuntu with the same result: [13] Null object. FMain.ShutOff_Click.5769
Have just tried the new version from source, but couldn't "make" it:
/bin/bash: line 1: /usr/bin/gbc3: No such file or directory
/bin/bash: line 2: /usr/bin/gba3: No such file or directory
make: *** [all] Error 127
Thanks for the gift, but I had just an executible text file in /usr/local/bin/xt7-player.gambas?? From console:
Installing xt7-player.gambas file in /usr/local/bin...
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `install-data-am'.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/data/burak/Downloads/xt7-player-3.0.0'
I've seen that in the instructions to build from git, but couldn't understand all that. So have downloaded the source (the last item above) and tried ./configure, make and su...make install.
sorry ...can't help you , but if you whant you can install from my src.rpm , for mdv , download the src.rpm and run from a shell :
rpmbuid --rebuild name.src.rpm
You'll need rpmbuild tools for mga.
"GeneralOptions.LoadExcludeDir.417: #13: Null object"
Seems a bug in the code, i'll try to reproduce tomorrow, thanks for reporting.
What are your gambas and mplayer version?
Sorry koko, trying to replace one of the Mageia OS with Lubuntu I have borked my other Mageia as well, probably because of reinstalling boot loader. If and when I can resurect my Mageia, I'll test it. Sorry again.
Hi!
Good idea.
But here the software is broken depended.
I says that the gambas3 is not the version to support the player.
I'm using the Ubuntu oineric whit the gambas3 repository.
I would like that you configure the player to create a queue list like in the old kaffeine.
If so, I will be glad.
Good job.
Thank you.
What is the kaffeine queue you're talking about?
This version on kde-apps isn't updated.
I suggest you to grab the latest git version after you installed the other dependancies.

I left this here but the new version is now on qt-apps.

have you tried /usr/bin/gbc3 -e -a -g -t -p -m or something like it , to build && test ?
I've seen that in the instructions to build from git, but couldn't understand all that. So have downloaded the source (the last item above) and tried ./configure, make and su...make install.
Forgot to mention; I'm on Mageia 2 Beta.

Thank you sir. I'll try that.

What is the problem? "that executable text file" is bytecode, all needed things are inside it, have you executed it?
Sorry for being noob; how can I execute it?
from the shell: /usr/local/bin/xt7-player.gambas

Does it stops there? don't you see the main window?
Yes, it stops there with a warning: "Fatal error..." Would you like me to quote the exact warning?
"GeneralOptions.LoadExcludeDir.417: #13: Null object" Seems a bug in the code, i'll try to reproduce tomorrow, thanks for reporting. What are your gambas and mplayer version?
Gambas 3.0.0 Mplayer 1.0
I can't answer to the end of the thread due to kde-apps.org, anyway i think that 3.0.1 fixed the issue, please try ;)
