This is a maintenance release with some patches provided by community.
Thank you all for comments. Port for Qt4 obviously was in plans, but I felt that just using qt3to4 and recompiling won't be enough.
It would be better to rewrite GUI part completely using modern features and give access to dictionary data so people interested in exporting contents would be happy too.
That means a lot of work, that I don't have time for anymore :). Feel free to try.
hi,
i am looking for a front end like this one where i can include online dictonaries like leo and others but also commercial dictionaries like langenscheidt, collins, robert etc.
i am no programer, so i dont know what is possible or not.
but do you think that it is possible to include other commercial dictionnaries and also the world wide web?
and an other wish: i would love kydpdict-like front end to be a plasmoid...
thank you for your work
fixu
I really like this software. It is very useful in an German-Polish-English household (-:
However, I have two ideas for improvements:
1. It would be great so have the possibility to use the SAP dictionary AND other commercial english<->polish dictionaries at the same time. I guess many users already have commercial data-files (since SAP was not included in the past) and SAP would be a nice addition for those users.
2. It would be great to make data-export easier. E.g. I would like to use one of my commercial dictionaries also in another software. Importing wouldn't be a problem, but exporting is.

well, polish is not useful at all for me, but what about adding the leo-dictionaries? http://dict.leo.org
Program is modular with regard to dictionary engine, so adding new data sources is possible (and easy).
The Polish-English/German dictionary is from Langenscheidt not from Collin.
Polish-English dictionary is from Colilns, Polish-German comes from Langenscheidt. A bit hard to put it nicely in one sentence :).
