Description: KShutdown is a graphical shutdown utility for Linux and Windows. It allows you to turn off or suspend a computer at a specified time. It features various time and delay options, command-line support, and notifications.Last changelog:
I wonder what is the point of providing obsolete packages for old distributions and even saying so. You can quite easily package KShutdown (http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/4177). In fact, since I have actually already packaged KShutdown in home:llunak:kde, you could have it even simpler, you could just add that OBS info to the kde-apps.org information about the package, the setup has already been done by me and now it's only a matter of version updates, which is pretty trivial.

Is only for debian AMD64 this mirror !
The package is for KDE 4.x
Hi, great app!
I was planning to do an app like this myself. But as always someone smarter had already done it better!
Anyway, I was thinking of a nice feature. It would be great to be able to set some rules for when to shut down. For example when a program (or the systems) network load/transfers goes down under a set value the computer shuts down. Or if the processor load stays under 30 % for 5 minutes or if appXX uses less than 10% (eg idle) the computer shuts down.
Both changes in network load and CPU load are things that you might want the computer to "act" on. For example: I'm transcoding a DVD --> xvid and want the computer to shutdown when finished a CPU-load rule would come handy!
Again: Great app!
when installing the rpm on opensuse 10.3 I get the following depency error:

any ideas?
I seem to have xscreensaver installed.. so what's the problem?
Hi,
AT first, thank you very much for this so useful app.
However, I think it would be a great improvement to it if you can add a feature to choose another OS to boot into (while rebooting). What I mean is: if I have a dual boot system, say Linux and Windows, both, and I am rebooting from Linux, I should be able to choose which OS I want to boot into, Linux or Windows.
There is an app called "GRUB NextBoot" [ http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=12140 ] to deal with the OS stuff, but I think it would be much better if this feature gets incorporated in Kshutdown also.
Thanks!!
This features could be really great semi-hidden in an "Advanced" button when the user press in "shutdown" icon.
But there is no sense this app to exist as standalone app.
I hope your goal will be to contact KDE developes to do a real integration in the "shutdown" dialog.
A usefull app !
Here is a package for Debian unstable:

This is something I needed. I wish I had known about sooner. It works great on Kubuntu 14.10. Thank you.
i wasn't aware of a beta going on for kde4, cool!

Hello, is there any chance to see a kontact-integration ? This would be a tremendous step for Desktop users to use it in a useful manner.
