Description: These are just screen shots of A search application I am developing. It uses the database I created for essential contact manager, to achieve near instant O(1) searching. Comments and suggestions are very appreciated .Last changelog:
atm, there is still some development going on on kat and KDE search - you might wanna contact vandenoever, he is working on it. (google might give you his email, or else come to #kat on irc - kat.mandriva.com can help, too).
yeah, i pinged him too :D
hope you guys can do something together... we need tenor/kat/whatever for KDE 4, and there aren't many ppl willing and capable to work on it.
I'd like to assign tags to files (lets say i have a Book.pdf file, I set for it groups that the file is member of : Grp1:Programing, Grp2:C++ and so on), so I could search for a file from some group. Note that a file can be present in more than one group.

No offence but you might wanna abide by the KDE interface guidelines a little bit more so that it actually fits into the whole desktop..
On the other hand, KDE might change its look'n'feel anyway... I think it looks cool...
No, please don't. Not every application has too look as boring as kedit.
While I would agree to do this normaly, this is based on qt4, so it is not meant to be a part of the kde 3 desktop.
