# WHAT'S YAPG
Yet Another Pacman Gui is a KDE's frontend for pacman package manager used by Arch Linux (and other distributions).


Some YAPG features are:
Packages install/remove/repair/update wizards
Repositories update wizard
System tray integration for automatic updates
Database optimization dialog
Cache control dialog
Mirrors test and sort dialog
Log viewer
Pacman configuration settings dialog

YAPG is the best Pacman GUI I've tried. I hope you keep developing it further, perhaps making it more like the Smart Package Manager GUI.

This looks really nice, but is still active? If it is, I have a few requests: * I think it should be all connected together, like Synaptic or Adept. One thing I like about Adept is the 'search as you type' unlike Synaptic. I think this should be implemented * Maybe you should make it be runable as the regular user, and use kdesu when it is needed (or su/sudo) It works fine for me, but the interface isn't very intuitive IMO. The gtkpacman one is nice, but doesn't work for me. I would really like a good KDE frontend for Pacman!!
