qtfprot-0.2.1c-1.lotus.i586.rpm at http://home.scarlet.be/raoul.linux/lotus.html
On my SuSE 10 with KDE 3.5.1 the default ./configure didn't work out. It installed to /usr/local Thanks to the install instructions at http://www.coffeecrew.org/projects/qtfprot/INSTALL I had a starting point. I had to use: ./configure --with-qt-includes=/usr/include/qt3/ --with-kde-dir=/usr/include/kde/ --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt3 --prefix=/usr
Works good on Suse 10.0 using the package downloaded from http://www.acepoint.de/

Please make path to f-prot configurable since there are some distros where f-prot is not under /usr/local/f-prot. e.g. Gentoo Linux where f-prot is located in /opt/f-prot
I think it would look better and more efficient if actions / macro virus removal was on the top and misc. options at the bottom. such that they alight perfectly vertically with path to scan and scan options. Just a though. Sincerely yours, Fred.
I added some screenshots of the interface, see here: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=19676 Basically, everything should be aligned horizontally and vertically to reduce visual noise. Buttons should be align, same width, same size, spaced equally. The [...] buttons are not identical ?! Sincerely yours, Fred.
Excellent work. Thank you very much indeed. The Borg Queen
Hi, This is very good! Before I ask for a feature, I'd like to say that I appreciate the work and effort that has gone into this. It makes using the AV program so much neater, simpler and efficient (I like GUIs :) After sorting out the dependencies, it is working like a dream. Now, can I ask for an option that lets you set up an automatic virus signature updater? Info Re: my machine: Mandrake 10.0 Official Kernel 2.6.3.19 KDE 3.2 Nothing unusual - no kernel mods or anything of the like :) Best regards.
well i like what i see but cant compile it i keep geting this checking for libz... configure: error: not found. Check your installation and look into config.log how do i correct this is there a simpler way?
very good work, indeed. thank you very much, in particular for the rpm. running properly at all. for newbies: take care that you have got the new kde release with the corresponding QT version, and there will be no trouble at all. Thanks and bye.
Which version of Qt is needed to compile this application? On Mandrake 9.2 it does not work (same error as the SuSE user). Seems that I have Qt 3.1.2 installed. Do I need Qt 3.2? KDE is 3.1.3.
This is impossible to compile with SuSe 9.0 Compiling allways ends up with "Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1 (20021021)) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation! For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log." If someone has better luck with this. please let me know.
i had the same configure problems with KDE apps, with the same error when it checks for QT. i was pretty sure that i had a QT version that was higher than what was required. i checked the paths/dirs that the configure script uses to look for QT and KDE libs/headers and found out that it was not pointing to what i had in my system. so i just made some symlinks to the actual locations. problem solved! my case might be the same as what you have.
You can go to my webpage to get this program working. I have written a help file for this program. http://forums.the-myos.net/index.php?showtopic=36
