Description:gWaei is an easy to use and yet powerful dictionary program for Japanese to English translation. It organizes results by relevance, supports regex searches, tabs, spell checking, kanji handwriting recognition and an console interface.
It attempts to be simple, uncluttered, and powerful. Built in regular expression support makes searching fun kakko warai!
Bugfix release. Various windows compilation fixes. Morphology was made less obtrusive because it is a bit greedy. Fixes to a segfault in waei if no dictionaries are installed and a search is carried out. Fixes to localization.

I think gwaei has some really smart features (especially the ".","/b" parameters, and the possibility to see and copy the radicals of a similar kanji to hasten the kanji lookups), but it still misses 3 important things imho: 1- the possibility to order the kanji by radicals number/strokes number/grade/frequency in the kanji look up ,maybe with a right click's popup window's selection:-) 2- the possibility to zoom in the radicals in the radical search window, (it would be good to be able to zoom in with the mouse wheel for example or with a key combination) 3-[less important] the verb deinflection (it would be nice to have this option in the preferences, just like in jiten I've the 1.11 version installed so I'm not sure are already present in the newest release. thank you very much for your hard work, you made my words and kanji lookup "sessions" much much easier and faster;-)
Thanks bluesummer. I'll keep those in mind. Lately I have been stuck rewriting a lot of code so the new features haven't been appearing as often. You may just see some of the ones you said pop up in a future release. Also please feel free to drop those ideas in the sourceforge bug tracker.
Arigatou for your job it helps me for my study , big thanks budy
Thanks a lot for your hard work!
There are a few readability problems on dark themes. There was some place that seemed to use a staticly blue hyperlink that's hard to read, but I can't find it anymore. The most important problem is that the ひらがな reading that comes after the 漢字 is highlighted with a peach color, but you don't assign the text to be black, so on my computer it's grey on peach and very hard to see. I'm very glad to see someone replace gjiten, that program was getting old. I hope you can iron out these problems, gwaei is a lot more promising.
Thanks. The program is really just starting to mature. The color highlighting problem has been in the back of the mind for a while, but thanks for reminding me. I'll probably get to it in the next release. I have also been considering allowing the users to change the highlight colors, but it hasn't hit the top of my priority list yet just because I have a feeling it will be a pain in the butt to implement. I originally started gWaei because gjiten just didn't work for my needs anymore. I felt like I had to fight with it too much to get any useful results out of it. I'm glad other people find gWaei useful too. :-D
