Description: This is software written for fiction writers who use Ubuntu. The basic module is complete and ready for use and or beta testing.
I am a fiction writer, when I converted to Ubuntu from Windows I had problems finding the tools I used to use in Windows. Running them under Wine never worked right for me so I decided to write the software I needed for myself and for the kind Ubuntu /Linux world that gave us such a cool and free OS.
I wanted software that would allow me to write non-consecutively, in a scene based environment, have character development and tracking, and world development and tracking. Features:
This software is for the creation phase of writing. It is designed to help you get the story written and develop your characters and plot. Currently WWMKR uses simple text editing. Once the story is written we suggest exporting to your favorite Word Processor for spell checking, grammar and formatting. We are adding new features everyday with a new release about every thirty to sixty days.
Name Generation in over thirteen languages including: English, French, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, Fantasy, Italian, Latin, Celtic, German, Olde English, and Hindu. Character Interview with over 25 Character traits.
Ability to add critiques and the people who made them on each scene. Scene based so the Novel does not have to be written consecutively.
You can add any .png graphic file for Character Portraits for visual tracking. You can track all characters in a scene.
All texts can be exported or printed.
