OO.org might be better on Linux. But on Windows, nothing beats Microsoft Office 2003.
But if you don't want to shell out $150.00. OO.org is an excellent alternative.

In which way do you run the windows apps? It would be nice when making webpages that I could see them in IE without having to reboot into windows.
Use cross over office. It is not a free software but it allows you to install Windows Softwares with much ease.

I am just curious. Why do you use ms word etc.? OO.org is better, isn't it?
I generally do not use them for creating documents. I use them for viewing as you know there are still some compatibility issues with Open Office
