Description: This seems to be very silent feature in KDE 3.5, because I haven't read about this before, but accidently found. Under windows behaviour config/ translucency settings, there's a option to apply translucency only to windeco. I found that is a very handy feature.
yeah, its a nice feature. But I wish I was able to configure windeco transparency along side normal transparency. For example- I like all my windeco slightly transparent, but I also want unfocused and moving windows transparent.
hi, in the second screenshot, it just *looks* like the "folder icons reflect contents" (translated from dutch) option now shows inside the picture (look at the pictures icon and the html one). would be cool if this did really work :D
I also noticed the "only apply to window border" option. Very nice but still a little buggy. I can't get to properly work the name in the Kmenu applet instead... file should be .kde/share/config/kickerrc The only similar section to that described in the post is: [menus], and i added these lines: [menus] ShowText=true Text=Menu Sadly, it doesn't work, anybody a clue?
It's not default. You have to enable it by putting "ShowText=true" in kickerrc under Munu options. Further you can use Text= "What ever text you like"; (Though I'm using default text "Applications").

Hi. How can I get the sidebar visible in screenshot 2 with the "actions" and "preview" sections?
Wait. Never mind. I found it. http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=28725
Are you using a Nvidia card ?? If yes, did you install the default drivers in SuSE or a older driver ??
How didi you obtained the rounded selection of icon text shown in screenshot 2? And is it possible to change kmenu text color?
1. Round text selection: SUSE did it.. 2. KMenu text color depend on your color scheme.
wich color scheme do u use?

sorry... better formatting:
[menus]
ShowText=true
Text=Menu
this config does nothing in my kde3.5beta1
What happens if you remove the "Text=Menu" part?
Just now I noticed that the group should be [kmenu] [kmenu] ShowText=true Text=Menu
Hi, where are these settings, in which file?
Refer the 3rd screenshot, It's in the control center, under desktop settings.
Is the kmenu button in your screenshot the default for 3.5?
It's not default. You have to enable it by putting "ShowText=true" in kickerrc under Munu options. Further you can use Text= "What ever text you like"; (Though I'm using default text "Applications").
ok, it worked... but how you changed k-menu button color?
In panel configuration module, you'll get a option to specify custom color to kmenu aplet background (4th tab).
