we know both xgl and aiglx don't worry..but my messages are referred to netcelli's one..about his problems with xgl..
unfortunately i have an ati card..so form me now is not possible..
you have to wait..until xgl won't be the replaced of xorg..
is not so cool launch a x server over another xserver..just to rotate a cube^^..cube is only a pager..i do the same with 3ddesktop..lol
btw..nice shot..:)
I don't run an other Xgl when x server is running; xgl is a server :D
However xgl is still unstable :( It will supported maybe by the next version of kde
Obviously you don't have a clue about what you're talking about since AIGLX != XGL and AIGLX is integrated into xorg 7.1. Moreover with the latest (still beta) nvidia binary driver, you can bypass completely xorg/aiglx and have compiz running on top of the drivers without any other layer.

XGL is its own X server, where as AIGLX is integrated into the default Xorg... ... what the hell does XGL have anything to do with AIGLX?

COOL....I tried to install xgl+compiz on my Gentoo box with kde 3.5.4 but if I run any kind of application Xgl process used 100% of cpu :/ Have fun ;)
