Hi. For the last year I have been trying to theme linux into Mac style. Please how did you theme your KDE like that? Every from icons to well every thing it just beautiful. It looks 98% like the real thing. Please can you help me or send me your files for the way you themed it? My email is in the sig if you wish to help.

Your desktop looks great. I don't understand why you've got such a low score.
i think people of kde think that their dekstop must be genuine not copy of another os's desktop. but like aesthetic and usability of Mac OS X.
Sorry for my english I'm beginer. I'm 11 year old Please send me your ikon pack in tar.gz format. Please, send me solution, how you do your modifications of KDE
i think it's not legal to send you the icon pack.but you can get it from http://www.osx-e.com/
how did you get the fonts in the top menu bar look so good?
what's behind that dashboard-icon in your docker?
2nd desktop which includes only karamba widgets.
Add this to your home/(your user)/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc under FMSETTINGS add: ShadowParameters=0, 1, 16.0, 192.0, 2, 4, 0 Changing the numbers under shadowparameteres modify the shadow, there is a very good howto buried on kde-look. I would love to give the author credit but I can't find the damn thing :( Chris
Better desktop drop shadows http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=12380 Chris
yes.that's the way that i did.
Hey, cool desktop. Something I really don't like about KDE is their text shadows - even Gnome does a better job. How did you reached to get that kind of desktop icons text shadows ? I've read that with xorg >=6.8.0 and composite activated you can do it efficiently, are you using that ? And no matter if your answer is true or false: how can we achieve the same text shadow ? I'd like to have this in next KDE version (KDE 3.3.1 is freezed, so I suspect that it could be 3.3.2 or higher.. :-( ).
what about kde 3.3.1?i use slackware. are there any packages for me?or any source code?
the answer is below.
That's the way I had the defaults when i did the patch in kde (macos..), but it's highly dependent on the font you use (try the thick shadow with a thin font).. having it as a halo looks decent regardless on the font, so I agree with David and the other lads/lasses for such default setting. It was supposed to get integrated in the setup wizard (look like mac when you choose a mac behaviour etc.), I don't think anyone got around to do it yet... Cheers, Laur
I'm looking at your volume control icon in the task bar. Is that a static icon? Or do the bars increase and decrease to represent the volume. If they do, where did you get that? Thanks! Chris
it is static.i grab it form a screenshot.
how did you get it that way?
- kstyle & kwin :baghira 0.5g - baghira menu on top - kxdocker 0.20 - kwin drop shadow patch 0.8 - icons collected from the net - some customizations in the ~/.kde dir - desktop icons text shadow modify - superkaramba ubermon theme

What are you talking about baghira menu bar? It's not on the baghira style... Is it some program? Link, please?
it's a transparent kicker with kmenu, baghira menu, systray, clock applets added. the bars appearence is based on the wallpaper.
