Description:
it's a *.mng animation to replace the kicker button for Kmenu in SuSE,

to use it copy the file in the following path:
~/.kde/share/apps/kicker/pics/kmenu_basic.mng

in openSuSE 10.3 the /pics directory does not exist, you must create it, if you find this directory backup the old kmenu_basic.mng file and replace with the new one.

to see the new button restart kicker with the command:

dcop kicker kicker restart

How can you add this in Kubuntu? Alvin

salmone85

huh ... I think you have to find what kind of menu you are using and replace the actual icon with the one you desire in the folder of the menu application inside your home directory when I used kubuntu I belive to remember it uses the default kmenu, in this case just use the kde control center to choose a different icon ... I'm sorry but I have no experience o kubuntu ... by the way ... why the suse logo on it? ;-)

For anyone with their kicker on the top side of the screen u can copy this file and name it as kmenu_flipped.mng. Great job with the icon :)

Kicker Panel

Kicker is the main panel used in K Desktop Environment 3 and earlier. Together with KDesktop, it forms the graphical shell. It can be customized by the user. By default, it has the K Menu, a Desktop Access button, a Home button, a Konqueror button, a Kontact button, and a Help button. Wikipedia
