This is exactly what I was looking for, though I can't seem to install it.
Tried both versions through the Download New Widgets menu, it says it's installed, but won't appear in the Widgets sidebar at all.
I would also try installing the files manually, but I'm afraid I'm pretty new to all this and couldn't find any guides on how to do so.
I usually test it by installing from the store, so it should work. You can try installing it directly from the file:
https://userbase.kde.org/Plasma/Installing_Plasmoids#Installing_from_local_file
You can obtain the file here as well if you can't get a hold of it on the store page:
https://github.com/tjaart/plasma-fancy-clock/releases/tag/v5.1
Installing through the command at the bottom of that userbase page solved it. Thanks!
Now that I've got some tweaking done, this is exactly the layout I wanted to create. Nice work!
What is your time format string? The clock uses Qt time formatting: https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qml-qtqml-qt.html#formatDateTime-method . Okay I just checked, and the hh needs to be lowercase: try hh:mm:ss ap
Hey is there any guide on how to modify the placement of the date? Like making it at the top of the date. Also my date is not align center, how to do that too? Thanks :)
Well, if I download it and choose install widget from a local file, Plasma doesn't recognize either the tar.gz or any of the extracted files or folders. So, how does somebody install this thing?
I had this installed on another distro and really liked it. I'm now on KDE Neon, have downloaded and extracted the file, but can't seem to figure out how to get it installed. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious--can anyone lend a hand?
Hi, at the moment you can't turn off the shadow, but you can add a feature request on the github page and I will have a look when I get a chance. It shouldn't be hard to do. You can add the request here:

Thanks! I'm happy you like it :)
8 Looks nice but cannot change format to 12hr. I have tried HH:mm:ss a and it still 24hr format. It just adds a "AM" or "PM" at the end.
try HH:mm:ss ap
Having this same issue. I cannot find the setting to toggle the clock into 12HR format. Hope someone knows something else or an alternative.

You can use two widgets to achieve more layout flexibility. https://github.com/tjaart/plasma-fancy-clock/discussions/12
Hello, the widget have a good design but she is very small, i search in the settings but i don't find...
Oh i find, i had to stay pressed on the widget, sorry :)
Installs correctly but does not work on plasmashell 5.11.5
Did you try installing it from the get new widgets dialog?

You should be able to install it from the "Get new widgets" dialog.
I like it, but the font is very small, no matter what font size I choose in the settings.
It should resize with the widget handle. My QML is pretty terrible though, so it could be a bug.
No, It's not a bug. It's my stupidity. :) Of course it resizes with the widget handle. Thanks.
I like this clock. can I turn off the shadow?
