I thought since i am running liquid and it put a liquid splashscreen up, then i might just make a liquid shutdown screen.
Installation: download, rename as shutdownkonq.png copy to home/.kde/share/apps/ksmserver/pics
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Added a screenshot on popular demand
Note: screenshot is larger than the actual download (defeats the purpose, eh?)

the file shutdownkonq.png can be found under /opt/kde3/share/apps/ksmserver/pics on SuSE...
I love this, but only if I could find the folder ksmserver, I have kde 3 on mdk9
In Mandrake 9 it's in the /usr/share/apps/ksmserver/pics folder
Same for RedHat 8.0 just stick in in the /usr/share/apps/ksm "whatever"/pics . Crocodile was getting annoying. Thanks
In gentoo it is into /usr/kde/3/share/apps/ksmserver/pics
same for debian, running kde 3.0.4
Kongi really started to annoy me :-) This looks great.
hi all, this logout screens are the coolest but is it only for kde3?? under kde 2.2.2 i cant find the ksmserver folder. anyone an idea?
This is only for kde3 :)
*drool* Man, this is what I love about open source. Someone does a little tiny bit of work... and the community shapes it into some really slick stuff! Great job! I love it! :)
Really nice! When I see such Screenshots I almost want to switch to an Aqua-style too. :) So, is this the "normal" Liquid style? Or are you using anything more like different colorthemes, backgrounds or anything else? Thanks, Marcel
At the moment i'm just using defaults of everything. select liquid style, colour scheme, and window decoration. Mosfet rulz, no?
Mosfet rulz, no?
Jupp, you're absolutely right. And so are many of the other artist here at KL.org. I'm really happy "having" such a place like this. :-) Thanks to all of you guys!
do you get it to show the What do you want to do next box? I only ever get the Save Session prompt. Thanks, J
I have _NO_ idea how it works. On my dad's computer it only shows the logout confirmation thing! maybe its got something to do with autologon...
You need to use KDM for the login. If you run startx, only logout will appear.
i always wanted to know..,.
You also need KDM 3.x it won't work with the KDM from KDE 2.x
Here you go.
little crocodile started to piss me off :)
how about a screenshot ?
