Description: I was a bit unsatisfied with the current Quanta splash-screen... There are two versions. 1024x768 and 1280x1024 - make your choice to match your screen resolution. If you'd like another size, please measure the size of your splashscreen and tell me your resolution or send me a screenshot and i'll make it for you. Enjoy and leave comments
:.. :.: ::: :Last changelog:
1.1 - corrected the tag line to proper english grammar (thanks to Anita Lewis) - more w3c standards compliant piece of code - added the xcf source for the gimp to the package (feel free to modify it)
I actually like this much better than other's I've seen. The big one is overly spacious and the little one is nice but maybe a bit cramped. Granted we can't translate the text but it's not that big of a deal in my opinion. I will put this up to our developers and user list to see if they like it more. Before we can accept it though I have a request of the author. ;-) Get the files from http://webcvs.kde.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/quanta/quanta/data/icons/ that start with "wiz" and remake them in the same theme and remake our icon in the same theme. If you can do that nicely we could have a winner.
yes ... I do hope someone start to do some remaking of the used graphics/icons in Quanta. Quanta is really my favorite KDE app.
Talking is easy, I know ... unfortunately I'm not that much artisticly skilled :-(
nice splash Luci ...
Cheers'
Fab
Your splash screen looks great, but the tag line (Making the web development easy way) doesn't make any sense. I'm not trying to point out your mistake. I'm just letting you know so you can change it. But most KDE programs don't include tag lines like that in splash screens anyway because they can't be translated. Maybe there is a way to remove it all together? Just an idea.
yes, i was pretty unsure what to put there and if the text is in proper english grammar ;)
anyway i would like to keep some "tagline" there. what text would you suggest then?
it's simple. i haven't so much time to do everything i would like to do ;) for example right now i'm very "busy" of our second addition to my family - freshly new born son Samuel which came on monday morning :D

Really cool splash screen :) Have you mailed Eric (http://quanta.sourceforge.net/main1.php?contfile=resource) about this? I hope this will be included in quanta HEAD soon.
done, right now :)
Very good. Why don't you support other applications as well as an artist...
