bootsplash? ...this should work on Gentoo too :D ...please add it to the list
And also in Debian. I'm using it and it works fine.. It's available via unofficial repository, too. Take a look at here, if you're interested in it: http://mentors.debian.net/ I'll take a look at this splash on next boot :)
And btw, the install.sh seems to be broken.. There are some missing x's of matrix, but why not to use aquamatrix or something, as there's already theme called matrix?
Well, the install script didn't work at all for me so I fixed it. Including the directory change.. Here: #!/bin/bash echo Aqua Matrix v3 bootsplash installation script v0.1 echo Making directories... mkdir /etc/bootsplash/themes/aquamatrix echo Making directories... [OK] cp -r ./config /etc/bootsplash/themes/aquamatrix/ cp -r ./images /etc/bootsplash/themes/aquamatrix/ echo INSTALLATION... echo You have to edit the script for installation echo Take your favorite editor and open the script echo there you will find the instructions.
The verbose mode was shown ion my screen nstead of silence mode. how do i make it silence?
you are to append an option to the kernel splash=silent for example my lilo section: image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-21mdk label="linux" root=/dev/hda6 initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.22-21mdk.img append="devfs=mount acpi=ht resume=/dev/hda5 splash=silent" vga=791 read-only
Nah, i've downloaded (was good) but it's just i'm a bit borred to see too little (often ridiculous sizes) preview pictures just for incresing downloads.

The preview picture is too litle i can't see anything. If you want us to download absolutly your picture there are better ways but your picture looks nice and i'm quite happy... so...
